Comsat ISDN Cell Router:

To communicate between mobile and stationary networks is still relatively expensive, whether it is voice communication or data transmission. Not even the greatly increased competition among the new telephone companies has managed to create any fundamental change to this situation.

But now you can from your stationary telephone system to a mobile phone and you only need to pay the cheap internal network price charged by the mobile company. The connection is charged as a mobile to mobile call within the same network. This direct connection saves costs.

Comsat. mobile telephone adapters are separate GSM transmitter and receiver devices which are connected either to your existing digital telephone system at the SO outside line or subscriber port or in the case of an analogue system at the outside line or subscriber port. They are available either for the GSM or the GSM 1800 networks (in Germany known as the ‚D' and the ‚sE' networks, respectively). The device is switched on by inserting a SIM card of the network operator of your choice.

With the sets in the Comsat. ISDN Plus series, you can not only conduct voice calls, but you can also send data, fax messages or SMS short messages. Comsat. ISDN Plus can be connected up anywhere where no regular landline is available or where a stationary telephone connection would be uneconomical.

For the opposite direction, the system can be configured so that incoming mobile calls are routed cheaply via the adapter all the way to the desired extension. Just some of the benefits of the mobile phone adapter.

  • Every call you make between your communications system and the mobile phone network will be charged at the cheap internal call price of your mobile network provider, whether for D or E networks, GSM 900 or GSM 1800
  • All the technical features of your communications system can be used (e.g. least cost routing, storing frequently used numbers, recording call charges, etc.)
  • Optimum voice transmission quality
  • Simple and easy to programme
  • The modern design of the Comsat. ISDN Plus means it can be desk or wall mounted
  • Optimum reception quality even with poor network coverage by using the appropriate directional antenna

What are the advantages of co M .s.a.t. GSM gateways?

  • Reducing fixed to mobile, mobile to fix communication costs between 50%-70% (average, depending on country SIM card tariffs)
  • Free choice of SIM cards (from mobile carriers) and corresponding offers, e.g. inexpensive VPN tariffs
  • Modular system for small/medium/big size business (Corporates, Call Center, ISP´s, fixed/cellular operators etc.)
  • GSM gateways can be installed as Wireless Local Loop solution. The PABX, connected to a GSM gateway can operate without any fixed network line
  • coM.s.a.t. GSM Gateway products available for ISDN BRI, ISDN PRI, and analogue lines.
  • ISDN BRI solution offers direct fax over GSM networks

How does it work?

  • Connected to an internal/external PABX port, GSM gateways function like a mobile/cellular phone, where SIM cards (3V) have to be inserted
  • Calls from fixed to mobile networks will be directed from the PABX to the GSM gateway
  • This way the PABX , connected to a GSM gateway, is able to establish a direct mobile to mobile call. Resulting that each call from the PABX to mobile networks can be routed via the selected SIM card (e.g. inexpensive VPN tariff), which is inside the GSM gateway

What are your benefits?

  • Cost saving for calls to or from mobiles, LCR also for routing to fixed line
  • Easy to use e-mail / SMS gateway: Send SMS from every mail program
  • Versatile technical support (e-mail, telephone)
  • Competitive prices, proven quality, good technical support and quick delivery
  • Easy to install and maintain
