Wireless Interface

Get the flexibility of mobile telephone access on a standard telephone unit. Psitek’s Wireless Interface Products automatically route calls made from a standard telephone through a mobile network, combining the range and cost-structuring benefits of mobile communication with the security and hardiness of standard telephone units.

Overview Benefits Technical Data

The Fusion 100 provides a connection that looks exactly like a standard landline telephone point to which you can connect a telephone, PBX or any other standard voice-service device, but that is itself connected to a GSM mobile network and uses this network to route all incoming and outgoing calls.

The device can be used to provide instant “landline” telephone services where there is actually no landline network, for example in disaster areas or under-serviced areas requiring fixed, non-mobile telephone access.

The Fusion 100 also provides call-routing alternatives for PBXs, allowing companies to take advantage of any cost efficiencies gained by making calls to a mobile phone from another mobile phone. The PBX is programmed to route all outgoing calls made to mobile phones through the Fusion 100 connected on its incoming line side. The PBX sees the connection to the Fusion 100 as a standard landline, but the billing on that call is done on the mobile network at a more cost-effective rate. Note that you may need to confirm the legality of offering least cost router services in your country, prior to using the Fusion 100 for this purpose.

The Fusion 100 is a fixed wireless terminal that allows landline calls to be routed via a GSM cellular network, either to save companies money by providing cost-effective calls to mobiles, or to supply a temporary telecommunications infrastructure in areas where there is none, e.g. on building sites or disaster areas.

The Fusion 100 offers:
  • Telephone access (voice or internet) in disaster areas, where wire-network infrastructure is damaged
  • Telephone access (voice or internet) in areas that are underserviced by land line networks, but fall within mobile-network coverage
  • Cost-saving wireless routing in all countries with GSM 900/1800 mobile network coverage (depending on regulatory restrictions in country of use)
  • Compatibility with all major PBX brands
  • 100-number callback list, allowing a company to pick up the bill on calls made from up to 100 predetermined numbers, e.g. sales staff or valued clients
  • Standard GSM facilities e.g. number barring or call forwarding
  • Instant call connection after a predefined number of digits have been dialed
  • Remote monitoring of Fusion 100 statistics and functions, e.g. the number of voice and data calls made and received, reasons GSM network signal, and the SIM card activity.
